La Ciutat de la Justícia

És un conjunt arquitectònic que concentra tots els jutjats de l'Hospitalet de Llobregat i gairebé tots els de Barcelona, així com d'altres serveis jurídics públics. Ha estat dissenyat pels arquitectes David Chipperfield i Fermín Vázquez, amb un estil minimalista de línies dures i  simples, buscant la funcionalitat per sobre de l'estètica.

Irònicament, el lloc on s'administra la justícia a Barcelona i l'Hospitalet está sota sospita de finançament il·legal de Convergència Democràtica de Catalunya (CDC), el partit governant a Catalunya durant bona part del període democràtic, a través de pagaments efectuats per l'empresa Ferrovial per a la concessió de l’obra. Així, aquesta és la paradoxa: els tribunals que han de jutjar aquestes irregularitats s'allotgen als edificis construïts possiblement mitjançant aquestes mateixes irregularitats.

The "Ciutat de la Justícia" (English: "Town of the Justice") is an architectural conglomerate which houses all courts of the city of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, next to Barcelona, and also most of Barcelona itself. The buildings are also home to a number of public court-related services. It has been designed by architects David Chipperfield and Fermín Vázquez, in a minimalist, hard, but simple style, looking for functionality above aesthetics.

Ironically, the place in which justice has to be administered in Barcelona and L'Hospitalet is under suspicions of illegal funding of Convergència Democràtica de Catalunya (CDC), the longtime governing political party in Catalonia during most of the current democratic era, through briberies made by the company Ferrovial in order to secure the bid. So that's the paradox: the courts which have to judge those irregularities are housed in the buildings which may have been built through those very same irregularities.
